Question about an unavailable account

Hello,

I contact you because i have a problem with an unavailable account. Indeed, i want to change my nickname with the nickname : Balmir (because my nickname is with a i uppercase) but it's already use. So, i decide to verify if this account is an active
account but when i search Balmir in the friend system I don't find any account ! So I would like to know if this account (Balmir) is already use and if this account is an active account. Because if it's an active account i know that i never can take this nickname
(or i can contact the person who have this account) but if it's an inactive account I have a hope to take this nickname !

Wow. I have already seen this answer to questions like this. Totally not helpful. Did you read the part about the unusual activity on the account? Is Microsoft not going to investigate this? Does Microsoft not care about cybersecurity? Does Microsoft
not care about it's customers? Device bans ARE issued lightly if they are issued with no warning. Why would the "enforcement team" be completely unavailable to the paying customers? Maybe you could give an answer that actually answers all these questions.

If the system says the tag is taken, then it's in use somewhere on Microsoft's servers. The gamertag system is used on other Microsoft services, so even if it's not being used on an Xbox, it could be in use somewhere else. The system also doesn't see things
like spaces as making a gamertag unique. So if you were to look up "gamertag" it might not show up even though it's actually in use as "gamer tag". The only way for you to take the tag is if the original owner changes their gamertag to something else or they
do not sign into the account for 5 years.

They will wipe the hard drive themselves as they will probably send you a replacement console instead of repairing yours.

If it hasn't started, then you should probably call support back about it. They should start the investigation as soon as you call.
