I was gaming in 1986 and I don't remember any game having FMV as part of any game I played. That's 30 years ago and according to you Quantum Break devs have stepped back in time with this game. Pardon the pun.

Just bought the game today, looking forward to playing it, from what I've seen and I have no doubt that this will be a game I will really enjoy. I might save it to play when I'm off in a couple of weeks time and concentrate on games I already have until
then though

Dont listen to most people when they say reading the emails and notes you find in game are boring or break the pacing of the game. I read every single one on my first play through on hard and am so glad i did. The show, the collectables and the gameplay
need to be experienced as the devs intended to get the most out of it.

@Rippen I came across a collectible last night that was listed as "hardline" in the timeline, weird thing though it was also shown in the PR guide walkthrough and I had collected it on my PR play.

I usually agree with Angry Joe's reviews. He really trashed this game, but I'm still going to play it. I can see how the video sequences can be looked at as a bad thing from the early days with things like Sega CD, but I'm going to look at it with an open
mind and try to experience it the way Remedy want us to. I'm sure I'll be happy with it. I've seen enough gameplay that my interest in piqued.

The video segments are well acted, well written and with high production values, easily of a quality level of a Netflix or Amazon Prime production. However if a player is not interested in them they are completely skippable with no impact on the game
really. The episodes simply tell the story from the viewpoint of the "bad guys" and just give back story to what's happening in the background as you progress through the story.

@genchy I dot the achievement last night for collecting everything. I don't know what's going on but changing Junction on a replay seems to reset some collectables like you never achieved them. I even found the last ripple which happened to be from speaking
to a character that wasn't present in my Hardline play through.

Just finished QB today,really enjoyed it,people who are criticizing it seem to me are just nit-picking.Remedy have done something different and for that alone they should be applauded.

Jesus talk about nit picking, how exactly does that affect the story and game? it didn't make the game less fun because I couldn't climb on certain objects. Also it's not a 3rd person shooter cover based game, if you play it like that than you will die a
lot.

Having actually played through it and taking my time with it (ie not rush through it to get a review out) I can happily say this is the most fun game I've played since I've owned an XB1. The game design and tv shows are well made, Remedy should be praised
for blending the 2 so well and trying something different.

Genchy, two problems. First, you created an Ad Hominem and a Straw-man. No one ever suggested people want to just stay in one spot or sit there. That is a Straw-man argument you created in your head to easily refute, not the way
discussion works but meh.

If you want to simply state it's not a "cover-based shooter", more power to you and good luck with that assertion.

And Rippen, the same to you for the FMV "cut-scenes". If you are fine with Gaming devolving 30 years into the past that's on you. I will not support such lazy Game Development behavior in any way.

No its not a cover based shooter, the enemies wont allow you to stay in cover much, the will flank and get behind you, if you don't keep moving your dead, yes you use the cover but staying in one place for long will result in death. As for the platforming
I never experienced any issues with not being able to climb anything I needed to.

I really don't care what you will respond to I have no interest in your opinion to be honest, ive played the game and enjoyed it enough to want to play it again. I have no interest in engaging in a conversation with someone who sets themselves up as some
kind of intellectual and keeps trotting out the same old phrases to reinforce this impression. Why should I or anyone else defend the FMV section. You don't like the game don't buy it or play it.
