Quality of Life issues since NXOE update

Hey everyone,

Ever since the new update, I have had a few QoL issues that are quite annoying. I wanted to post them here so that Microsoft is aware of these issues as I have not seen anyone post them recently.

1. The XB1 power light on my console does not light up anymore.

2. My XB1 controller will just randomly disconnect while playing a game.

3. And the most annoying one - sometimes when booting up my XB1 (or attempting to boot it up) my controller will not connect to my XB1 at all. I'll have to go sit on the floor in front of it, press the sync button, which typically does nothing. It usually
takes about 10 minutes to finally get connected. Slightly infuriating.

I have yet to do any kind of restart or factory restart. I need to ensure that my save data is in the cloud before I think about doing a factory reset. I just REALLY do not want to have to do it - especially if it doesn't even help. Had no complaints
with my XB1 before NXOE happened.

After Update: Voice Commands Barely Work, System Tiles Do not Render, Doesn't Properly Control Audio or Video

Software issues on ALL of the systems. About everyone has had these problems at one point or another. Even before the NXOE update was published, the preview version of it had these issues (a friend has told me about this) and MS has not resolved it (or listened
for that matter) about the extensive problems and bugs with the NXOE, but published it with the bugs, in hopes people would not notice these.

These issues are nothing new, and have been around since NXOE was put in production.

 

Kinect issues since NXOE

The Kinect is all over the place for navigating through TV channels. This is one feature that is used all day every day with the whole family since XB1 launch. Since NXOE the Kinect says it is not connected when you turn on the XB1, but it is. Voice commands
work even with this pop up displayed.

Voice commands still work well when navigating through XB1 menus.

We have used voice commands to change channels where as for now we have moved back to the remote.

Example of issues we have been seeing since the update:

Disney Jr- gets TNT

Nick Jr- gets Disney

Straz - gets Bravo

Disney Jr- gets ESPN

CBS- get Nick

Some channels work better then others, but before the NXOE using voice control used to be on point. At this point it's almost not worth using. I would have reported via the Xbox, but I have other issues that will not allow me to.

 

True the control stop working when you play a game sometimes I hate that

 

Hey mate,

Before factory resetting you console, try a hard boot. This just restarts your console fresh, and closes all background programs that may be running. This does not remove anythign from your console

To do a hard boot (or hard reset as its sometimes known), simply have your console on, and sitting at the dashboard. Then, hold the power button on the front of the console down for 10seconds until the console turns off. Then just wait a minute or two, before
then turning it back on. Try that and see how it goes.

Also, make sure you controller is up to date, which you can do by simply plugging it by USB and the update should automatically start... kind of like a game does when you start one up that needs an update
