Quality issues with xbox one controller left analog stick

I am having a terrible time with the xbox one controllers. I will be purchasing my 3rd controller already due to something breaking in the left analog stick. I am an adult casual gamer and typically only play madden 3 to 4 hours a week. I am the only one
that uses the console and when I say that these controllers have never been thrown, dropped, or abused I say so with 100% certainty. In comparison to the 360 controllers, I only replaced one of my 360 controllers and that was for the lifecycle of the console.
There is something that is breaking in the left analog stick. I will notice a slight physical change to the way the stick moves and simultaneous start experiencing faulty control issues. In both cases, there has been the sound of loose pieces rattling around
in the controller as if something broke off and is rattling around. I have returned one for replacement...still waiting for the replacement. The second controller-instead of returning-in my curiosity I wanted to see what broke and I discovered a light grey
plastic part had in fact broke and was just floating around freely in the controller. My purpose of this post is not to bash or disparage the xbox one, but bring this quality/durability issue to peoples attention with the hopes that this will eventually get
addressed and fixed.

XBOX One controller issue

im having issues with the left analog stick sensitivity. the left analog stick isn't sensitive enough so in order to run i have to move it all the way and the controller shell is cutting into the plastic of it.

 

Seriously microsoft this console is pathetic....

My left analog stick is looser than the right stick. I noticed that a couple of days ago. Figured it was because of COD. On my PS3 I went through 3 controllers with the left analog stick having issues. I had an issue with the controller on my 360 as well;
left analog stick. So it might be an issue not sure. I'll probably just buy another controller when they come out in different colors and go from there with it unless it gets worse.

 

same exact thing has happened to me ...a grey clip on the left analog stick...spent over 700 dollars for this system and its been nothing but problems (buggy as all hell, disk drive problems, NO BASEBALL ) and now the controller breaking....not happy at
all..... I regret ever buying the xbox one system

 

Your not alone my friend, im on my 7th controller since day 1 release, everytime its the left analog stick, something snaps inside.

I spoke to the guys in the shop and they said its extremely common they literally dont ask now they just swap the controllers.

I never replaced one controller on the 360 and had it for 10 years

 

Am on my 3rd controller now best thing to do is send it in for repair

 

My God . . . I have only had my Xbox One for two weeks, and am having this issue, so I googled it and can't believe how many others are! I am also an adult gamer that has never thrown, smashed, or anything remotely close to abuse my controller. I mainly
play FIFA '14, and I noticed my players would suddenly just quit moving in the middle of the game, or continue on a running path that I had not sent them on. With my system having only came with one controller, I purchased a used one from eBay and have only
had that one for a few days. I noticed an immediate difference with the new (used) one and figured I just had gotten a faulty controller in the first place. Then tonight, I started seeing the same mannerisms, and then heard something shaking around in it!
To my first controller's credit, there is no shaking sound, but both seem to have the same issue with the left stick. I guess my question is. What am I to do now? Here I am having spent half a grand, and I have two controllers that don't work. Am I expected
to just keep buying new ones once every week when this happens??

 

Just googled the grey clip problem and found this thread. I'm on my 4th controller since I bought the Xbox One around Thanksgiving 2014. Completely ridiculous that Microsoft continues to sell these awful, awful controllers.

This is it for me. I went with the Xbox because of Halo. Always been a Halo kind of guy and wanted the Master Chief Collection. The controllers have made the Xbox One unusable and completely irrelevant as a gaming system. It's turned into a vessel to watch
Netflix. Worst gaming system ever. Truly a disgrace to their brand. I'll be going with Sony the next time around.

$60 for a controller that lasts about a month and then breaks. Unreal and pathetic.
