    Hi all,

    I have a question about Xbox streaming to Win 10.

    Before we get going here’s my spec set up:

    - Xbox One S 500mb (about 1 month old)

    - Lenovo Y500 Intel i7 (3rd Gen) 2.4Ghz, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce
    GT 650M, Gigabit Ethernet (4 years old)

    - Plusnet Hub One

    - Both Xbox and Laptop are running wired to the hub

    I’ve used this streaming service through the xbox app for a couple of years now. Initially on my Day One Xbox over wi-fi (I partitioned
    off the 5Ghz signal just for this) and then latterly wired. I’d never really had a problem and I’d played lots of different types of games without much issue; Destiny, Ori, Fable III and loads of ID stuff. I’ve recently bought a new One S as my Day One died
    and switched over to Plusnet from Sky. Now on certain games the quality is awful. I played through Gone Home the other day and didn’t notice any adverse effects, but Assassin’s Creed (Back Compat) it shocking. It’s so stuttery it’s practically unplayable.

    I can't understand the loss in quality. Surely with the specs of everything above running Assassins Creed shouldn't be a problem?

    I'd be grateful of any advice or suggestions anyone could offer.

    xbox win 10 app not streaming

    using win 10 and xbox app 8.8 and when i try to stream, the screen dims and all i get is audio. Anyone else having streaming issues?

    another thing regarding sound that I noticed yesterday was the comparison of the Netflix App on my Win 10 PC and the one on Xbox One. The Win 10 App sounded much more dynamic for some reason. Could it be the App itself streams at a higher quality than the one on the One?

    Well this morning it decided to just work. At least while my kids were playing Minecraft anyway.

    You know for as hard as it is to actually get over the phone help it would really be great if Microsofts people would actually tend to some of these issues people have here in the forums. Posts go ignored for days if they ever get responded to by MS support.
    Mine was started on the 29th and only just approved on the 31st?

    Cannot stream on Windows 10, but the Xbox is connected!

    How old is the PC. Is it newer with modern PC spices. Or it a old WIN 7 computer that you upgraded to WIN 10. Because if was like a WIN 7 computer before you upgrade to WIN 10. Some of the computer spices might preventing you from streaming.

    Like Smwutches has said, this is not a play anywhere title. However there is a process called Game streaming, which lets you play Xbox One games remotely from your Xbox One console on any Windows 10 PC on your home network. So If
    the xbox and pc (win 10 pc that is) are on the same network you can stream the game. It does suffer a bit of latency or delay , but the better the in home network the better the quality.     Netflix Streaming Quality Issues

    One interesting tidbit - the one way I can see an HD feed is by using my VPN router behind my regular router - that changes my IP. Is it possible that Netflix is preventing HD feeds to Time Warner customers?
