Have you attempted to reach out to Bethesda yet? We have a great article on these forums on how to get you to the correct support channels here.

Specifically, you can go to Bethesda support here and open a ticket at the top under "My Support"

If you're looking for access older versions of Quake, they have an article published here on how to use the supported platform Steam to do just that.

Please be advised that this is the only supported platform that allows this to happen. If you attempt to play Quake through the windows store, it will automatically try to run the newest version. All other launchers are not supported through Microsoft or Bethesda.

never mind i used direct quake 1.5 and it uses the disk coz i copy and pasted id1 file

The error message “Launcher.exe cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit Windows compatible version is available” usually occurs when you try to install or open a program that is not compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows.



You can try right-clicking the setup file and selecting “Properties”. Then, click on the “Compatibility” tab and select the operating system that the program is supposed to be run on from the drop-down menu.



If the program is really old and is a 16-bit application, it cannot be run under Windows 64-bit. You can try finding a 32-bit version of the program you’re trying to install. Otherwise, you’ll have to run the program within a virtual system or an emulator like DOSBOX.

More about DOSBox. It is an emulator program that emulates an IBM PC compatible computer running a DOS operating system. It is used primarily to run older video games that were made specifically for the MS-DOS operating system.



DOSBox is available for download for free and can help you easily run almost any of your old favorite games. It is also configured to either a set of command-line arguments or plain text configuration files. For ease of use, it offers several graphical front-ends that have been developed by its user community.

Quake 4 and Quake 2 disc are great games IMO. Can't wait for a new one without main focus on MP; although co-op would be awesome.
