QOL on the Insider Program for the past year has been abysmal and if this is a sign of...

First of all, I am very well aware that being on the insider program means that we can end up with software and system updates that aren't as stable or optimal as this is supposedly a "test" platform all.

My XBOX just switched itself off after trying to log in into my account. Seems trivial but this is just the latest in a series of absolutely woeful, incessant and overly frequent updates which are lazy, half-arsed and barely functional at best.

We get patch notes that do not go into any sort of detail -- multiples issues fixed and whatnot -- which bog down, break, try and take a step forward stumble 20 steps back at every turn, pumped out after all these updates which seemed to be coming off different builds from different teams taking shots in the dark as to what will stick without any care nor thought about the usability of the console.

Like that matters anyway, HDR and Dolby Atmos have been broken for god knows how long as well as this hilarious "profile colour might not show correctly" which is likely a joke placeholder at this point.

The sound effects are currently broken, mic quality is random on and off, the system and menus bog down from one update to the next, games still don't update automatically -- and this was a point of contention a week or so ago with someone saying that unplayed games aren't updated, well I'm sorry but I play Apex Legends and CoD:Warzone almost on the daily but couldn't on the latest patch date nor the day after, but booting the game EYYYY THERE'S A MASSIVE UPDATE YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD IT to hell with your evening -- notwithstanding it took THE ENTIRE CONSOLE CYCLE LIFE TO ADD AN UPDATE ALL BUTTON. Parties break on and off with no explanation from a patch to the next. The console will suddenly *overheat* in memory streaming heavy games even though mine (both Scorpios ONE Xs so it's not console specific, out of warranty and another that isn't repasted still in warranty) have been repasted professionally and run cooler than stock, and then the problem vanishes without a game update but with a random Insider update down the line. Also, why STILL ISN'T THERE a damn UPDATE LATER AND STAY ONLINE option yet? How many times have I gotten IT IS TIME TO UPDATE in the middle of a damned online game when the update was downloaded while the console was actually switched off overnight?

Is the team offset to a vendor 3rd party like ID@XBOX is? Are you paid by released build?

Is this the same kernel and core that we are expecting to power the Series X? Is there more of this coming down the line?

I can't wait for the AutoMod to tell me how to report a problem down below when error reporting doesn't seem to carry the message home.

And yes, I know I can leave the Insider program, but for those who remain in it and for us supposedly "helping shape the future of XBOX", either start taking your time in between updates and communicate properly, or I don't know just start from scratch.
