Px4 Headset, party voice not working

Hello MS Support,

I bought a PX4 Turtle beach headset with a Microsoft adaptor.

The sounds of the game is working fine however I can't speak with my friend in a party.

They can hear me but I cannot hear them.

If I plugged the headset we have when we buy the Xbox then unplug and plug my PX4. I can hear them till I speak after that, I cannot hear them again.

I did further check and here is my findings:

If I use the PX4 without plugging it the controller, I can hear my friend. As soon as I plug it, I cannot hear them.

Which mean that the voice works via the Bluetooth connection of the headset but not via controllers.

The original headset send and receive the voice via the controllers.

There are two solutions:

-1 my cable between headset and controller cannot receive the voice and can only send it as my friends are able to hear me.

-2 The PX4 has to receive the voice from the Bluetooth and not via the controllers, which mean it's a software issue.

Did anyone else is using that Headset and has it working in party?

Did anyone had that issue with another headset and fix it? if yes, how?

Is this a known issue that MS will fix in a next coming update?

Not sure if this will help you or not, but I did have the same issue with my PX4. The in game sound worked great, but when in a party I could not hear my group even though they could hear me. I tested on my PS4 and they worked both ways, so the headset was
fine.

I was not able to test the headphones that came with the XBOne like you did as mine were broken.

After a few days of playing with it, I found that reconnecting the Bluetooth(holding down the bluetooth button on the headphones until the blue light close to it flashes) seemed to work for me. I also changed my sound settings,

support.xbox.com/.../configure-audio-settings I changed the "Optical audio options" to bitstream out and the "Bitstream format" to Dolby. Not sure which part worked, but when I tried to talk again, I could hear my party. It still flakes out on me or their
voice will break up but I played about 3-4 hours with them and the chat worked.

I tried all of these without success.

I confirmed it works fine on PS4 like a plug and play.

I opened a ticket with Turtle Beach and they are sending me a new Adapter.

I tried with two controllers, two cable, two adapters. still the same which definitely mean an issue with the XBOX software.

can we please get someone to look at this.

my first question...

1. Have you updated the controller via USB while this headset is turned on and plugged into the stereo adapter?

2. I dont have Turtle beach headset but maybe its worth asking TB support if you should use this adapter instead of the xbox one stereo adapter -

Sound (game only) should come in from the adapter wireless if you have connected the sound output correctly. It sounds like you have as it works, not plugged in.

Chat, is the only reason you are plugging in this into the stereo adapter so what I'm reading is that, when you plug in the headset, this is where the problem begins.

I see on the TB website that they are pointing everyone to "their" adapter.

Which adapter are you using? The Xbox One stereo adapter or the TB stereo adapter?

If its the Xbox One stereo adapter, I would suggest contacting TB support to understand the difference between the two.

 

1: I did that on both Controllers.

2: The sounds works perfectly fine. The only issue is with the party to Chat with my friends.

I use the Xbox Stereo adapter and I contacted TB which sent another adapter with the same result.

Have you updated the mixer with the latest firmware?

 

Yes, the box that transmits sound to the headphones.

Many of the Turtlebeach mixer's needed an update per their website
