Puzzle Quest 2 not working on Series X

Hello,

if you start Puzzle Quest 2 (Xbox 360 game) on Series X without "quick resume", you have an 80% chance of being stuck on the start screen.

- It is only ever happening on the start screen.

- It may be an issue with another game waiting for "quick resume" (in my case Ori)
- Restarting the controller helps sometimes, so it may be an issue with the controllers. Tested on 2 Series X and one Xbox One controller.
- The game itself doesn't seem to freeze, since the "press start to continue"-text is still pulsating.

- Xbox-Button menu is still working.

(This is one of an extensive list of game-breaking issues I have with Xbox, the Microsoft Store, and the Xbox App for PC.)

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Apparently, it could be a specific problem with this game, or with your console's own quick-resume, maybe a problem is a factory issue, before we confirm this, if possible please try the solutions below.

Solution 1:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

After removing the account follow the procedure below.

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Now add your account again.

Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button.

Open Settings.

Go to Network and select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart.

Solution 3:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

- Select the option to keep your games and apps so that they are not deleted, make sure you know your email and password as they will be removed from the console and you will need to add them again.

right, that's what I thought which is what puzzles me since the xbox one discs don't work but series x discs are fine
