Putting in Gift Card Codes

I recently got an xbox one s and I go in to put in a gify card everything goes well until I have to hit confirm and I do then a grey screen sits there and I thought it was loading so I left it for about 20 minutes so my question is this a glitch becuase ive restarted it and it still wont work how come?

No, you have to redeem the code. And then it send you a secondary code to your email that you then put in the redeem gift card. section in the store.

Unfortunately it is not possible to do this.

The code can only be put onto one account and the whole amount would be put onto that one account.

Although you can go to this link Xbox gift card in the
Microsoft store and you can click on the amount drop down and select the amount of the gift card you want from $1 to $100 dollars and the system will email you a code for each gift card that you purchase. you can then give a code to each kid with the amount
that you are wanting to give to them.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to gift a subscription. However, you can purchase a digital code for an Xbox Gift Card from the Microsoft Store website. The website allows you to adjust the amount of money that you want to put on the code. Fill up the gift card with the amount of money required to buy the subscription. You will receive the prepaid code by email so you can give the code to your friend, have your friend redeem the gift card and purchase the subscription with the currency. Keep in mind, this process does not work if you and your friend are from different countries.
