Putting Bug?

Hiya!

I seem to have a bug/glitch...sometimes, when putting, I have to hit the A button 5 or 6 times to get the meter moving on the bar. Also, when playing Henry on one of the games, a couple of times now when he's putting it'll just keep clicking the A button
over and over again but nothing happens, I have no choice but to get out of the round. I'm on the City courses.

Anyone else have this problem?

Putting woes

Actually there is rhyme or reason. The rule of thumb is that for every inch above the ball the hole is to add 1 foot to the distance. For a downhill putt it can be a little tricky since the 1 inch to foot doesn't always apply due to severity of the slope.
If the downhill slope moving pips are red the power will need to be backed off more than a downhill slope that is green. .

Aiming the putt is pretty straight forward as well since there is a grid. Based on the break and the terrain the putt travels over the aim is always based on grid squares. Three things to consider when putting, Power, Slope and Elevation. Getting the elevation
right will mean getting closer to the hole and salvaging par instead of bogey.

Another suggestion is to use Astrid and her caddie skill to learn how your power and aim translate into results by setting up the putt and then using her skill by pressing and holding B to see how far off you are on that long eagle putt and then correcting
as necessary for success.

I have played this game a lot. I have over 50 Rival rounds available to challenge and a couple of people in here are friends with me and have Rival rounds available as well. This is a fun game to play. It has it's flaws, but then most golf games do. Send

Putting woes

Just played the Mountain View challenge, you need to get FIR on every hole.

There's quite a few events where the score doesn't matter but you need to do something specific to get any of the medals.

 

I have 2 things to say that aren't exactly what you described, but similar and may help. Many players have experienced an issue with all golfers where the A button does not register when setting the accuracy of the shot. Ive also felt this when setting power,
but you can just let the swing go as long as you don't set the power. I have found no solution.

As for Henry, a few players have complained that after using illusion ball - they cannot set the type of swing. Such as chip or pitch, and longer putts. The only solution is dealing with it for a few holes, or leaving the game.

 

That's the problem though, when I click the A button sometimes, it won't even move to begin with! I moved on to another course, and the same thing is happening. Very frustrating. Might have to do some research on how to get a refund.

 

I am also having the same issue. I am wondering if the last xbox update has anything to do with it. Also, when I am at the tee and hit the Y button to preview the shot, the picture has a really bad refresh rate and not at all smooth. This never used to
be the case, again I am wondering if an update did something to affect this.

 

Have those of you who have had this problem, updated your controller from the settings menu when the latest build of the XB One OS has been released?

 

I am having the same problem from burning sands up were you able to fix it and hwo did you do it

 

I updated the controler and am still having trouble with the game lagging and having the putting glitch

 

Don't know what to tell you. Haven't played this in well over a year and when I did play regularly I never had any issues with the game controller or any lag.
