Putting 360 into the DMZ?

Basically, I cannot open the same ports on my router for more than one device. Doesn't let me. I already have my XBone connected to some of the open ports that my X360 uses. So far I've been changing my router settings each time I want to use whichever console.
Its not hard or anything but I'd prefer if I didn't have to. I want to assign the IP I assigned to my 360 in the DMZ.

1. Is this safe?

2. Let's pretend I assign an IP of 1.0 to my 360. If I enter 1.0 into the DMZ, it won't affect anything but the 360, right? I'd hate to accidentally attach my home computer's IP into the DMZ (I'm a noob at networking).

Ummmm - Juxtapose13 may be incorrect - plenty of U-Tube info about putting an original 20GB xbox 360 HDD into 360 slim....but into the HDD slot, not connected as an external drive...

We really don't have to dig in on the subject of DMZ, since this feature won't help your Xbox 360 to be diagnosed with the less restrictive form of NAT (Open).

Before we proceed, please post up the make and model of your router and your modem as well (if this is not a single device).

Can you tell us what type of NAT behaviour your consoles have been diagnosed with. But before you do so, access your router's web-utility interface and delete all entries, or rules, that you've made for your Xbox One, under Port Forwarding. That would include
DMZ as well.

Under the Gateway function screen you should be able to find UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). If this feature is ticked enable, then disable UPnP and reboot your gateway. Enter once again the web-utility interface and re-enable UPnP and reboot once more.

Now, before you perform any of the metioned steps above, make sure both your consoles network settings are set to obtain IP information (IP address, Subnet mask, Default Gateway, DNS) automatically. Therefore, make sure you reset network settings back to
factory defaults on each of your consoles.

Now proceed with the test, which determine what type of NAT behaviour each console is getting diagnosed with.

For the Xbox 360

Go to System Settings and select Network settings.

Select your connection type.

Select Test Xbox Live Connection.

For the Xbox One

From the Network Settings screen, select Test multiplayer connection.

When the test is finished, press LT/RT/LB/RB combination on your controller, for detailed statistics.

Can you also check the WAN/Internet IP address of your gateway, which would be the IP address assigned by your ISP.

Take note of the WAN/Internet IP address and go to Current IP Check

Now tell us if the 'Current Address' match the WAN/Internet IP address that you see on your gateway. A simple Yes, or No will do.
