Purpose/Use of Additional Controller?

So I'm considering buying the new Xbox One and I have two options.

1) GOW Bundle for INR 27k

2) GOW Bundle for INR 32k + FREE additional Controller

So I've traditionally been a PC gamer and want to know what the benefits of Additional Controllers are. Should I really be spending my hard earned money on option 2?

My guess is being able to play split screen or something, but I mostly play AAA titles so, really if someone could help me? Thanks in advance

Suggestions for builds that use cross-class combos?

I've only just started a mage play, and reached level 6. I see a lot of talk about how this game makes use of additional damage by combining special attacks from different classes. I'm assuming this is similar in nature to the way you could detonate biotic
attacks, etc, in Mass Effect 2. Has anyone done much of this? Just wondering which party members make good, balanced units with this purpose in mind...

 

Split screening or couch co-op, you could always assign the 2nd controller to your pc? Even without using the 2nd one at all it is a good idea to have a spare. So 32k inr is somewhere between $500-$550 U.S depending on the exchange rate? How much is a controller
alone in rupees? It's up to you whether it's worth it or not, those are your options.

 

Do all games have split screen? And what is couch co-op? Sorry really new here. And, is that all the second Controller be used for?

About the money, 4.5k for a Controller so it's quite about the same difference.

 

It's always a good idea to have a spare controller. Obviously, if it's working out to expensive to buy the bundle with 2 controllers then don't bother. Personally I like having a backup.

 

Unless you are going to game with friends and/or family at home there is no need for a 2nd controller.

 

^ until the one you have breaks, which a lot of people seem to think is 'all the time' if you read these forums of late. Personally i have 4 controllers (and am tempted by the elite to take my total to 5), but i have a habit of buying limited edition ones
even though i dont NEED them as my controllers are functioning perfectly fine.

 

It's good to have a spare just in case of a mishap but it is entirely up to you whether you get another or not. Do you have friends or family that visit and like to play games? It could be handy for two player games.

 

Auswulf, can you give me examples of some two player games? I mostly play AAAs so I need to know if two player gaming is relevant to me

A lot of games have coop but if you're never going to have anyone to play with you don't need a 2nd controller
