Pure Pool: Friends not showing up in the Players menu

My friends do now show up under the Friends section of the Players sub-menu. As a result I can't invite any of them to join my Pure Pool league or issue a challenge. I get plenty of random players in that list, but no one from my Friends list. Help.

Pure Pool

Found a video on the game and figured I would share. The game will feature some very nice graphics as well as something similar to Drivatars, where you compete while not playing.

 

Just to be sure, you have friends that have played Pure Pool already, correct?

Only players that have previously played Pure Pool will show in the list to be invited.

 

I don't think that's accurate to say they have to have played the game already. My son has 5 friends total which includes me, 3 of the other 4 friends we have in common as they are family and they don't have the Xbox One. They all show up in-game in his
list for invite, yet none of them show up for me including my son, so I think it is something else.

 

yeah you might be right about the issue with Pure Pool. I have exactly the same problem. My brother and I have the game, and neither one of us shows up in the friends list too. We have to search on the list of players instead.

 

It's very frustrating. Not sure whose end the problem is on either, MS or Pure Pool's. Like I said, when I login under my son's account the friends show up under Friends. My account nothing. I have to go through the full list. Very frustrating.

The update for Pure Pool was released over Christmas, which should address the friends issues.

Can you check which version you have. Just open up the in game menu and press left on the d-pad 5 times then press right once. It'll flash up the build version number at the top of the screen.

The build version number is 2014-12-17_1657. I just purchased, downloaded, and installed the game on 4 January 2015. It looks like my version is not the updated version. Should I delete it and re-install or is the another way to trigger the update? I'm relatively
new to the Xbox One so I don't know all the tricks yet.

 

That's the latest version.

That update addressed problems with game save sync taking a long time, which meant it could enter the game before a load game is available, which also affected the friends list.

Can you check your privacy settings?

Also make sure you close the game and restart when changing users, just to make sure the friends list is rebuilt.

 

What specifically should I be checking in my privacy settings? This is the only game I have this issue with. My friends show up in every other game I play where a friends list is present in the game for selecting opponents.
