Purchasing Xbox Series X with Rewards Points Program

I have almost 270,000 points in rewards points with Xbox which equates to almost $300 in either Xbox or Microsoft gift cards. Does anybody know if I can use these redeemed points towards the new Xbox series X or is there limitations on the promo gift cards
that do not allow this? I tried to find out by searching through FAQ's and even reaching out to MS via chat/email and did not get a straight answer. I do NOT want to redeem these points for gift cards all at once if I can not use them towards the new console
as they have a 90 day limit before they expire once redeemed. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

From my understanding, you can use Gift Cards to make purchases from the Microsoft Store, including the Xbox Series X.

However, there is currently no stock available to preorder so you would need to wait until more units are available.

The Xbox Rewards program has never had any offers for purchasing or upgrading to a One X.

If you go on to the Microsoft Rewards App itself it says 'Upgrade to the Xbox One X for 50000 points'

For help with the Microsoft Rewards program, you would need to contact their customer support via their redemption page. The Xbox Rewards program is not the same and has not offered any credits for purchases of an Xbox One X.
