    Purchasing Xbox Backwards Compatible games


    So any time that I attempt to purchase a backwards compatible game or even when i attempt to get the current free game that come with gold, after selecting "see price", I am prompted with this message:

    Sorry, we had trouble loading some details. Please try again later.

    No valid payment options.

    The issue is that I do have a valid card on the account. I can purchase Xbox One games without an issue using it. It does not matter whether I use the Xbox store or the the Xbox website, every backwards compatible game gives me that error.

    This is also happening with the game that is free with Gold. I missed getting Lego Star Wars 2 because this issue and now it looks like I will miss getting Star Wars Battlefront (original Xbox) as well.

    If the Xbox 360 games you purchased are backwards compatible on Xbox One you will be able to play them.

    The One store/website have never been updated to work with the currency system for backwards compatible content. The only way to purchase backwards compatible games with the funds on your account is through a 360 console.

    Depending on the game it may not be compatible on Xbox One if the game is not backwards compatible. The game may only playable on an Xbox 360.

    There is a list of games that are backwards compatible and I believe the game will say if it is or not before purchasing it.

    If you purchase an Xbox 360 Game that is
    compatible with Xbox One, you will be able to access the content on the Xbox One. Unfortunately, that game is not in the backwards compatible library.
