    Purchasing with Microsoft account

    Hello beanedddip,

Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a bit more information to make sure we provide the correct solution. Are you attempting to purchase Xbox Live with the Microsoft currency on your account? Have you ever added a debit/credit card to your
account in the past? The system will need billing information added to your account in order to use your Microsoft balance to pay for a subscription.

The billing information is added when you add a payment instrument. However, you can

    manually add your billing address
    through the Xbox One or
    Microsoft account website
. Once the billing address has been updated, go ahead and try purchasing the subscription again. Be sure to let us know the results beanedddip!

You are looking to purchase Xbox Live Gold using your Microsoft Account Balance? I would recommend reviewing the information here to see

    if one of these FAQs
has a solution that fits for you?

Also, are you trying to redeem a Promotional or Sale of Xbox Live? Sometimes those require and additional month at regular costs or if it's just set to auto-renew, then it would need a backup credit card on the account to charge continued service, since
they cannot guarentee that you will continue to have a balance in your Microsoft Account to continue to charge to.

Purchased Minecraft is no longer on my Microsoft account

Purchases made on a Microsoft account are forever tied to that Microsoft account. There is no transferring of items between accounts. The Minecraft purchase should be tied to the Microsoft account that was used to purchase it. If you have deleted that account and it has been more than 60 days, then you have lost whatever purchases were made with that account. If it is less than 60 days, you can undo the deletion of the Microsoft account and regain access to it's purchases.

Double xbox accounts on a single microsoft account

Usually it's not possible to have two Xbox accounts on the same Microsoft Account email.

However, you can try the following:

    Go to
    https://commerce.microsoft.com
and sign in with your Microsoft Account email. There review your purchase history for that Microsoft Account email.

Since purchases are made on the Microsoft Account (and not the Xbox Account itself), you should see your past purchases on that Microsoft Account.

If you don't see any purchases, it's pretty certain, that you accidentally used a different Microsoft Account email by accident, as the purchase history on that page contains tax relevant information about your purchases.

If all of a sudden tax relevant purchases went missing from that page, you could be sure that federal tax agents were taking Microsoft apart to find these purchases.

So please check again if it's not possible that you used two different emails for your Microsoft Accounts, and made the game purchases on a different Microsoft Account.

If you still have your Microsoft Account on your Xbox console, you can try to use these

instructions to find your proper Microsoft Account
    .

Will my Xbox account be closed if I purchased games online for inactivity? And if I died will my Xbox account be closed and my gamerscore with everything I did go forever with me ?

    She's going to stay active.

"Purchases . If you have used your Microsoft account to purchase, or to redeem or access a purchase of, a current Microsoft product or service, your Microsoft account will remain active and Microsoft will not close your account due to inactivity. Note, this does not apply to gift cards, certifications or subscription-based purchases or services."
