    A Really weird thing is happening since i got a new xbox one console, my store now randomly says on a few obscure items that i need parental consent, however i've never needed it before as my account is a full adult account and always has been.

    The problem gets weirder when it comes to what is asking for parental consent, these are what i have found so far ;

    - Neverwinter Zen is the whole lot, any amount parental consent is required

    - Smite needs it ONLY for the 200 gems pack, every other pack is fine.

    This issue only occurs on the console as well, if i try and order from microsoft store via xbox.com it works fine with no questions asked.

    My settings on console are perfect, everything is open and accessible, I also have checked my microsoft details online also and everything is fine there too.

    Is this just an error in the store? because i simply click next and i am allowed to purchase, i just haven't gone past that and actually brought anything yet as i don't want to risk it if there's a chance i won't receive my items.

    okay in some sense is this true but the credits cards and paypal issues are almost always the same issue

    i searchs on google for my answer even this error is not in the error wiki so thats makes it incomplete, but this has nothing to do with the billing department but with the Gateway Purchase API, but you know most topics about this subject are unsolved even
    when they contacted billing department

    issues purchasing content

    Prior to the Beta its sounds like a common issue at the moment and one which has affected me; I could not buy anything online or on console event though all methods valid and enough funds etc.

    After contacting support here:
    support.xbox.com/.../contact-us


    It turns out the issue relates to a risk block where by if you buy numerous items in a short time scale or have suddenly bought something after a long break then the system automatically lock your account to prevent fraud.

    To remove the lock please contact support as above and explain the issue.

    Be aware it took 5 days for a resolution so please be patient.

    This may have changed now you are part of the beta though – still worth a call to support.

    Also just to be clear, EVERY setting my end is right, I've gone through and checked a million times and more, literally nothing is different to how it should be/normally is.

    I Can also buy things on the store without this message appearing ( like if i go to buy/preorder a game, it literally sends me straight through to the payment screen ) so somewhere along the line wires are being crossed.

  5. Update to this I tried it on my partners account too and she's getting the same results. Can no one honestly help? This is ridiculous how much Microsoft in general goes wrong and the support system can barely support it's self.

  6. Hey, Vantex! Sorry to see the frustrations. For clarification, we do not work weekends, and we work oldest to newest once we are in. Bumping your thread moves you down the list for support, so we suggest that threads aren't bumped more than once in a 24

    If you are in an Xbox or Microsoft Family with anyone, we are aware of issues with purchasing unrated content. That seems to be the same issue you are running into, though I do see a rating for the US version of the Smite 200 Gold. Can you post back with
    your region so that I can double check it there? Additionally, can you please confirm if you are in a Family? Thanks!

  7. Ah I'm sorry i've been on the phone and messaging everyone and got a bit flared up, apologies for that.

    I'm in the UK, yeah i noticed that when i added a new account to my family (to test if it would work) that it then started to have issues too...

    also just to add the issue happens on my main account when not in a family too, i just get the weird " You can buy this, but you'll need parental permission to run or use this product" message, even though my settings are all fine. A phone agent i spoke
    to earlier said she thinks it may be the xbox one preview programme causing the issue, however i spoke to their support team and he said as its happening on many accounts which aren't in the preview programme this was false.

  9. Just checked and it looks like everything has a rating too on the xbox store for me, so I'm notrying sure what's happening but I do know it's the family function causing it because like I said I added an account to to the family and it started having the
    same issues.

    Problems for me are (that I have found)

    - All neverwinter zen packs

    - 200 gems pack Smite

    - Resident evil 7 pretty order (any edition)

  10. Tried more today also to fix this, removed myself from the family and that didn't help i'm now being asked for parental consent when my account is a parent and no other accounts are even linked to it....

    Then phones xbox support again and they were once again, surprise surprise, nothing more than useless. They literally said that there was no issue reported (as you stated there was an issue, when i brought this up they strictly denied it even after i directed
    them to this post) then they tried to just brush me off with the wait x amount of hours tactic.

    I don't understand how a company like microsoft have such bad support, the lady literally did nothing to help, she read the generic help guide instructions to me and then proceeded to be rude and unhelpful for the remainder of the call, only to then get
    in a strop (yes, a genuine tantrum) after i asked to speak to a senior member of the team to check things for me.

    This situation is ridiculous. A glitch is a glitch at the end of the day, but when the contact support they advise you to call are the majority of the time literally useless, then what are you supposed to do?

    Any help/information you can give will be greatly appreciated, as this situation is straight garbage and you're the only person so far who has even acknowledged a fault from Microsoft's end, and not just pointed the finger at every other person involved
    (myself, the game devs etc)

  11. Thanks for all the details, Vantex! I really do understand the frustrations with this. We have been working on this since the beginning of the month, though we are a separate team from phone or chat teams. My team works at the Redmond campus in Washington
    State, and works with users here on the forums, Reddit, and Twitter. Apologies for any confusion surrounding what information everyone knows about. I can assure you we've been looking into this, though.

    I'm going to update them with your information. I've got you saved so I can dig into it more, but you are definitely showing the symptoms of being part of this issue. At this time, there's no workaround for what you're running into, but I will update you

    Just another quick update, i got Fifa 17 with my console today, and used the code to install it, all worked fine, the game is there and runs normally, however when i check it in the store it asks me to enter the code again but then says its invalid (as i
    have already used it) This just a bug or something else?

  14. I have no ETA at this time, but as soon as I have one I will let you know.

    That sounds like the Store not recognizing your FIFA 17 license on your account yet. As long as it installed and you can play it, you shouldn't run into any issues with it showing up on the Store as needing to be purchased. It may just need some time to
    refresh the Store with the license on your account. Purchasing random content issues. :)
