Purchasing online Pre-order and update refuses to install

So I recently bought Overlord Fellowship of Evil in an online pre-order on my X-box One, first time ever doing an online pre-order too. I download and install the game so I can play it on the release date. The problem was on the release date I click on the
game and it comes up saying an 'update is needed to play'. Here's the problem, the update went so far and then it fails at 25%, every time after is the same. I got an error code and tried that on here and it suggested to uninstall and re-install the game,
this time it gets stuck at 79% and goes no further. Done this twice now. Not sure what else to try.

Dead Rising 3 Refuses To Install Off or Online

What's going on here? My Xbox One refuses to install Dead Rising 3 online or in offline mode. In online mode it only installs up to 34% in offline mode it only installs at 87% before stopping, it's seriously annoying and there seems to be no fix at all.
I'm using a disc, and no matter what my online status is it just refuses to work, it even catches the update while online and still refuses to complete the installation, yet I'm able to play it once it's ready to start. What is this crap?

Sorry to hear it. There are a couple of things for you to do here.

1. Head to Settings>System and see if there's an update to the console available.

2. Power cycle the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

Thanks for the update on the issue. We recommend first to check your
purchase history make sure the payment went through. Reason for this is if pre-order with credit/debit card it didn't take the amount when you pre-ordered. It takes the payment within 10 days of release. If it did take the payment and shows purchased, the
game should auto install if auto update is on. Personally pre-ordered the game myself and mine auto installed last night. You can try to uninstall the pre-order then go back to the store and download the pre-order you got first.

Hey there! What exactly are you talking about in terms of pre-order? If you pre-order something through the Microsoft Store, like a game or a console etc, you'll get an email about your proof of purchase. Like most retailers, you could probably expect some
sort of update on when it will be available... if you didn't pay the pre-order in full/chose to pay in installments, but I believe most purchases through the MS Store require full purchases (though it has been a while since I've pre-ordered something through
those means so I could be slightly wrong.)

However, to accurately answer your question, it depends on what exactly you're talking about for pre-ordering.

It's def helped more than hurt. Removing DRM will only increase pre orders and sales. I refuse to believe that removing the DRM is going to hurt pre orders and sales
