    Purchasing Gold subscriptions with Microsoft Account Money


    I bought a $15 Prepaid car to buy a 1 month. I come to find that I can't and don't understand why. If I buy a 1 month with a credit/debit card the company receives money. If I buy a 1 month with Microsoft Account Money(pre-paid codes convert into Microsoft
    Account money) the company receives money. Why is this very simple option not given to us?

    Past due payment for Xbox live gold

    Through Xbox, gold can only be purchased via credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card. The Microsoft account balance is not set up to work with recurring subscriptions.

    If you want pay as you go membership you will have to do what others do

    Buy a prepaid subscription card from your local store

    It is the same for every console or online service they have prepaid subscription cards

    Online reoccurring subscriptions

    And currency for only dlc movies and music as subscription requires a reoccurring payment option

    I had to call Microsoft support to find out that you cant use money in the account to purchase Live Gold subscription. There is no warning, announcement, or accountability to prevent people from paying money on the Microsoft account in order to get a Gold
    subscription. This is UNACCPETABLE. I cant get a refund, I cant get Gold, I just got ripped off like others have in the past! This needs to be fixed with a warning, or allow Gold to be bought in this way.

    Yes, you can. Basically, the only things you cannot purchase with money in your Microsoft Account are subscriptions, like Xbox Live Gold.
