Yes.Once you buy the game from the site or 360 it should appear in "my games & apps" on the far right of the "games" section ready to install.

disc games need to be present in the xbox to authenticate, as its all digital you would have to purchase the BC games.

disc games don't register to the account only digital purchases.

Now there has been a few games that have been made bwc disc copy only because off digital laws!

That's not entirely correct. All Of the games on the BC list (With the exception of original Xbox games) have been still available as digital purchases when they became BC. some games have been removed from sale, but are still BC, but there have been no
games made BC for the disc only. That's not how the process works.

There's a problem. The game has been delisted. Not sure what the legal issue is with this one. I know Pandemic no longer exists, but they were owned by EA anyway.

Only games that are currently still available to buy can be made BC. They can be removed from digital sale after they've been made BC, but to get them to be BC, they must be available to buy on the store.

Funnily enough, you can still buy the digital PC version. How odd..

If you really want to play this game, it can be purchased for PC either via EA's Origin or GoG. It supports Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers.

Only way you're going to be able to play this game for the for the foreseeable future.
