    Hello, I just found out that Bad Company 2 was now backwards compatible for xbox one. I wen't to the store on my xbox one and it won't let me buy it, it keeps saying that I need to buy it on my xbox and not xbox.com even though I'm on my xbox. Help would
    be much appreciated. Thanks

    Did you previously own it on 360? Or you just wanna buy it now? It was free a few years back with games with gold on 360. I clicked it when it went free as well as I own the disc. If you own the disc you will need to install it and click all 7 things
    to download. After the disc or digital purchase of BC2 is finished being installed then while clicking the BC2 icon with back button in games and apps section it will prompt like 5 other things to download to make it 6 total. 7th item wont appear which is
    VIP pass which lets you play all the extra online maps. That you will have to go to xbox.com and sign into your gamertag and type in Bad Company 2 then look for VIP pass.

    If you already owned Bad Company 2 new back in the day you should be remembered from Microsoft to get VIP unlocked for free. Click that if you already owned Bad Company 2 new back in the day at xbox.com. VIP pass is like 10mb download which more less a
    proof of purchase. Now if you never owned BC2 and just bought digital. It may or may not include all the DLC or VIP pass. Or if you bought a Bad Company 2 disc used you wont have the VIP pass unless the redeem code was never used. Then be forced to buy
    it if you want more multiplayer maps. Or be booted out of the servers when them maps appear. So maybe be forced to buying VIP pass as well.

    If its telling you to buy from xbox.com you can that way as well. When you do make sure to go through my steps for all 7 items downloaded total. VIP pass and all the updates are important. I also recommend buying NAM DLC if you haven't already.

    You would have to try contacting support directly to see if there is anything they can do.
    support.xbox.com/contact-us

    It does tell you what payment option you are using before you make the purchase though. If you make a purchase on the website, it is not possible to use the money in your Microsoft account.

    If you're on a child account, you would need to make the purchase from a 360 console. Otherwise, make sure you have either a credit card or paypal on file.

    I have a similar problem. I'm trying to buy a family Gold membership, but get the same error message. This was happening yesterday, too. I'm making the purchase from my computer, and have tried both a credit card and my Paypal account, without success.
