    How to get Destiny: Rise of Iron

    • Destiny: Rise of Iron Launch Edition: If you already own Expansion I & II, as well as the digital version of The Taken King, this is the version
      for you!

      Note: Your account must own The Taken King digitally in order to purchase Rise of Iron: Launch Edition. If you purchased CSV from a 3rd party retailer to buy Destiny: Rise of Iron, ensure you have purchased The Taken King digitally first!
    • Destiny - The Collection: If you're new to the series, or have yet to purchase the original Destiny Expansions & Destiny: The Taken King, this is going to
      be the best value for you!
    • Destiny: The Collection Upgrade: If you're switching from the Xbox 360 version of Destiny to the Xbox One version, this is the one you want
      to look into.

      Note: You must own The Taken King digitally on Xbox 360 in order to purchase this version.

    Rise of Iron DLC Issue

    For those of you experiencing issues purchasing Rise of Iron -

    Please double and triple check that the account you are attempting to purchase it on owns all prior Destiny content, including The Taken King and any other expansions.

    If another account on your Xbox One console owns the DLC, you will not be able to purchase Rise of Iron without purchasing the Collection.

    Hey Everyone I posted this in a previous thread:

    Could you all try the following steps listed here to try and resolve this issue:

    In order to purchase Destiny: Rise of Iron you must make sure your account which is trying to purchase Rise of Iron owns Destiny: The Taken King. That is required to be able to purchase Rise of Iron.

    Now if you have finished that step then you have a few methods of which you can buy the DLC:

    1. You can sign into your account via this link here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/destiny-rise-of-iron-pre-order/c3tbg0pc3fc9 and buy the DLC

    Or

    2. Launch your game and under the director select the icon for Rise of Iron and select purchase and try to purchase the DLC.

    Now you also could try searing the Store on your Xbox One for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" but if you do make sure it says "Pre-Order" otherwise you will run into the issue of it stating it can only be bought in a bundle.

    Also for those of you who Pre-Ordered "Rise of Iron" from GameStop: They send you a currency code, you will still be required to cover the taxes deemed by your state. If you Pre-Ordered this way simply try steps 2 or 3 here and get the content for Destiny.
