    Purchasing Destiny Expansion Pass

I recently attempted to purchase the Destiny Expansion Pass for the 360 at an EBGames near my house. To my dismay, they had the Xbox ONE passes in stock, but according to them, the Xbox 360 version did not exist as a physical card. To this end, they suggested
I purchase a $40 Xbox prepaid card. Mind you, I live in Canada, so this is $40 CAD. About 3 months prior to this, a friend of mine wanted to buy me a game so that I could play it with him. He purchased a $55 Xbox Prepaid Card. He lives in the US. During that
day, I went through the hassle of having tswitch regions so I could redeem the code he had bought, so that I could purchase the game. Which leads to there being two billing accounts, a CA personal account and a US personal Account. This leads to what I encountered
today. I got home and right away attempted to redeem my $40 card. I was mt with a region error, so I switched my locale on my xbox, and tried again to no avail. I went on my computer and changed my region on the official xbox website to Canada. I was then
able to redeem the $40 code. However, the main issue was, when I tried purchasing the Expansion Pass on the Xbox, it would try to use my US money. I tried restarting the xbox, I double checked my region, and nothing gave. I went and googled my region problem,
only to find that I would have to attempt an account migration. Which for some reason, failed. There seem to be no records of the game, DragonBall Xenoverse, that I purchased months ago, either, so I have no way of knowing if I just missed my chance by days,
to migrate my account again. But the most peculiar of all, is that whilst attempting to purchase the Expansion Pass for destiny, I checked in the games section on Xbox.com. I found Destiny, and I found the Expansion Pass, for Xbox ONE. I read the description
on my 360's market place, and online. It said that the Expansion Pass would provide access for the 360 and ONE. It did not, however, specify that it was only Forward Compatible, mfrom 360 to ONE. Now, the main issue I have, is that even if I misread or misunderstood
or did not abide by the migration rules, I was somehow able to use my CA Personal Account money to purchase the Xbox ONE Destiny Expansion Pass, but I was restricted to only using my US Personal Account Money for all other purchases. I would like to know how
and why, and if t would b possible to rectify is so tha I will be able to get an Expansion Pass for the 360. Both versions cost the exact same, and I have managed to pay the money, even though I was made to believe I could not use my CA account. Granted I
had mistakenly purchased the Xbox ONE version, hoping i could somehow redeem it for the 360, or have a friend redeem it on their Xbox ONE using my account so that I could unlock the content for the 360, but I want t know why I was restricted like this, and
basically foced to make this purchase.

    :)

Redeeming an Code on xbox.xom: Will it Auto-apply to my 360, X1 or both?

If you're talking about the Destiny Expansion Pass, the marketplace item description states "Purchasing this digital content entitles you to both the digital Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions" so it doesn't matter.

    Purchasing Destiny Expansion Pass

    Sorry to hear it.

First off, the expansion pass cards are for either platform. This is because the expansion pass cards are not actually for the expansion but for currency that will be added to your account. This has always been the way things were done.

As for the region issue. Please check out this page for reasons that you may not be able to change your region.

    support.xbox.com/.../change-region

Please bear in mind that two of the things that could prevent the region change are if you are a minor or if the last region change was less than 3 months ago.

If none of these applies to you then contact phone support for more assistance with the region change. 1-800-469-9269

So I just had a friend access my account on an Xbox ONE, and install the Expansion Pass. He could access the content just fine on the Xbox ONE, but upon me logging in again on the 360, all the content was locked. So I'm asking again, before I lose my cool.
How am I unlocking the content for both consoles? How am I going to access the content I dropped $34 for?

I don't care about the region issue. The money has ALREADY been paid. I want access to the content I purchased. I should have access to it on both consoles, and as I just demonstrated, it isn't as you say. This has nothing to do with region anymore.

As you already stated, you have to purchase the content for the 360 in order to get the upgrade for free on the One. It doesn't work the other way around. You would have to contact support to see if they can refund the purchase of the One version in order
for you to purchase the correct version.

    Smwutches is correct.

However, the offer to upgrade for free from the 360 to the One expired on January 15 of this past year. You would have had to purchase the expansion pass on the 360 prior to that time to get the free offer. Now you need to purchase the content for both
    consoles.

As for my comment. I stated that the card was for both consoles and was not the pass but currency which I'm sure your friend used when he downloaded the pass on that console.

You can check past purchases at commerce.microsoft.com

onyx - The expansions pass still states that you can access the content on both the 360 and One if you're purchasing it for the 360. The upgrade for the actual game ended in January.

And so it does. Thanks Smwutches.

OP, as was stated above though you would have had to have purchased it on the 360 first.

    Destiny 1 expansions available?

Bungie has made some modifications to Destiny, it has posted this notice in the Microsoft store.

    https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/store/destiny-...

"Destiny game required to play, sold separately. DLC content in the Expansion Pass may be sold separately. Do not purchase Destiny Expansion I: The Dark Below if you purchased the Destiny Limited, Ghost, or Digital Guardian Edition with the Expansion Pass, as you will be charged for it. Destiny Expansion I: The Dark Below may not be available on all platforms or in all territories. Pricing and release dates may vary by platform."

    Expansion Pass

Well, i had to buy the titanfall season pass again, so i wouldnt be surprised if the destiny expansion required another purchase.

Convert from owned to Game Pass game

The Destiny 2 expansions were removed from Game Pass for console in December. You would need to purchase them in order to use them.

    Destiny 2 DLC

Hi, to play Forsaken on destiny 2, you also need the Curse of Osiris and Warmind. As you own Destiny 2 already, you will have to purchase The Expansion pass, which will give you the 1st two dlc, and then purchase the Forsaken dlc seperately.
