    Purchasing content with obsolete card?


    So I decided to buy the LA Noire season pass today, and I bought it thinking I had already had my card details saved into the system. A few minutes later I realised that the details I used to buy the content was obsolete, seeing as I recently got a new bank
    card. The content is still downloading regardless of the obsolete payment details. Is this something to be concerned about? I'm not sure what to do.

    Day that the new camos came out on black ops 2 tried to buy them on the beta after I downloaded a 1600 msp card which converted to 20 dollars. Didn't let me buy them it said could not get authorization for this find a new or different way to pay. Called
    ms support they said that they don't know what to do post on the forums which I didn't because I assumed other people bad the same problem. So I waited 24 hours and tried again didn't work. After the update this morning I still couldn't purchase them. I'm
    starting to lose patience after all this waiting and every time I call they don't know what to tell me except to post on the forums so here I am finally. Now fix it or send me 21 dollars in cash.

    Hello, I've recently bought an Xbox One. I'm able to play many games with no problems but whenever I try to buy content it says that I don't have permission. I'm 19 years old and I'm able to play Battlefield Hardline but not buy Minecraft: Xbox One Edition.

    Yes it is something to be concerned about. You should head to commerce.microsoft.com and add the new card info then make it your main source of payment.

    After that call phone support up and make sure they know what happened and apply the payment to the proper card. Don't let them tell you they can't as I had a situation recently where payment didn't go through where I wanted it to and I was able to have
    them switch to the other payment form.

    Hopefully so. It would be a shame for past purchased content to suddenly become obsolete and removed from our Microsoft account libraries. That would never happen right?

    The prepaid gift cards can only be used to purchase content for the Xbox. Gold can only be purchased with a credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card.

    How do I gift a digital download?

    There is no way to gift content over Live. What you would need to do is purchase a Microsoft points card or Microsoft gift card and he can use that to add currency to his account to purchase the content.
