Purchasing Backward Compatibility games.

Hello, I just saw where black ops 2 went up for backwards compatibility and I really wanted to get it. In the past I had gotten rid of my black ops 2 disc because I never played Xbox 360 anymore. When I go to the store to buy it for 19.99 I keep getting
a message that says, "Sorry, Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox." Can anyone help me out it would be very much appreciated.

Sonic demo isn't working?

Hey there freakyboy86,

Backwards Compatibility only works for full titles that are available on the backwards compatibility list. Game Demos are not included in the backwards compatibility feature. If you want to try a specific Xbox 360 game out before purchasing and downloading,
you will need to download the demo on an actual Xbox 360 console.

"This error means that the Microsoft account that you're trying to use to make the purchase doesn't have the ability to make the purchase.

Child and teen accounts are prevented from making purchases in the Xbox 360 Marketplace. Changing your Microsoft account age or your purchase settings won't resolve this issue.

To resolve this issue, purchase or download the content on your Xbox 360 console."

Are you trying to buy One games or backwards compatible games? The Microsoft account balance cannot be used to purchase backwards compatible content on the One.

The One store/website have never been updated to work with the currency system for backwards compatible content. The only way to purchase backwards compatible games with the funds on your account is through a 360 console.

Oblivion is backwards compatible so it will work on the One X. You can view a list of backwards compatible games at https://www.xbox.com/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games

If the Xbox 360 games you purchased are backwards compatible on Xbox One you will be able to play them.

Depending on the game it may not be compatible on Xbox One if the game is not backwards compatible. The game may only playable on an Xbox 360.

There is a list of games that are backwards compatible and I believe the game will say if it is or not before purchasing it.

Currently, no. Even with the current phase of backwards compatibility, those games are not backwards compatible yet. So you would need to purchase the Xbox One version if you want to play them. As far as in the future, it depends on whether or not the games
are made backwards compatible.
