    Purchasing add-ons for a backwards compatible game


    I’m attempting to purchase add-ons for Fallout New Vegas but when I do on my Xbox One console an error message occurs and says that the purchase cannot go through. When I try to do the same thing on the Xbox Marketplace I am left with a loading screen
    that never stops loading. Only 2 weeks ago I was able to purchase various add-ons for Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Also when trying to purchase anything that doesn’t involve a backwards compatible game whether on my Xbox or on the Marketplace on my computer there
    are no issues, can anyone help?

    Quick question!

    Buying a 360 game on Xbox.com adds the game to your download queue on the 360, so the next time the console switches on it can begin downloading. The ''ready to install'' list on Xbox one runs from your purchase history. So as long as the game you are buying
    IS backwards compatible, It should work.

    Are you trying to purchase the add on for this game on your Xbox one? Because that game isnt showing up in the store or on backwards compatible list. So you may not be able to purchase it at this time.

    Are you trying to buy One games or backwards compatible games? The Microsoft account balance cannot be used to purchase backwards compatible content on the One.

    The One store/website have never been updated to work with the currency system for backwards compatible content. The only way to purchase backwards compatible games with the funds on your account is through a 360 console.

    Oblivion is backwards compatible so it will work on the One X. You can view a list of backwards compatible games at https://www.xbox.com/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games
