purchasing a physical copy of a game after already owning the digital.

i own the digital copy of friday the 13th: the game. i also own savini jason. a new trailer was released for the phyisical copy that had exclusive content. if i purchase the disc, (already having the digital copy installed) will my pre-order bonuses and
data be saved? or do i need to uninstall the digital than install the disc or what do i have to do??? all i want is to be able to own the exclusive content for the physical game and keep the stuff i already own... please help me

I would suggest purchasing the physical copy then. Occasionally you'll find some great digital deals where they might be better than a physical copy. At that point, I'd suggest purchasing the digital version.

Or let's say you win a digital copy after you already bought a physical copy. I was wondering how that worked as well - do I have to uninstall and then re-download from the digital copy?

 

The physical copy and the digital copy of the same game use different data. You need to uninstall one version to use the other.

Some items and game saves might be compatible but that depends on the developer.

 

Probably the pre order content is downloadable trough a redeemable code.

Chances are that they do work with your digital version, but I'm not 100% sure.

 

Your game data will be safe as will your pre order bonuses. However, there is a possibility that you will need to have the disc in the console in order to make use of the bloody Jason and counsellor clothing skins.

 

Sadly you can't. The digital DLC will work for your disc copy but the Bloody Jason Skin and clothing pack for counselors from the physical copy only work for the physical copy, not the digital.

I believe the progress you have made as well doesn't carry over either. So you can use the physical copy with the digital DLC but you sacrifice any progress you made on the digital (unlocked Jasons, kills, counselors, etc)
