    There was a free trial of Forza 6 over the weekend. Now I would like to buy it. When I select the game it prompts me to insert a disc or get the playing rights from the xbox store. When I go to the store, it says "this product is installed" and instead of
    a "buy" button, there's only a "play" button. When I click "play" I get the original prompt to insert disc or buy rights. Is there any way to just buy the rights and unlock the full game that's already on the xbox? (it was a 50 Gb download). When I called
    support they said I would have to uninstall and redownload and would lose all the progress I have already made. This seems like a terrible way to run a promotion!

    Definitely, if you used the free trial membership that came with purchasing the game.

    Sorted, downloaded the free trial then unlocked the full game in game.

    Same happened to me except I didn't know it was a free trial. I thought it was the full thing.

    You wont lose any progress.Support have got it wrong.

    Your progress is saved to your console & on the cloud if you were connected to live.

    It's perfectly fine to uninstall the game,buy it & re-install it.

    When you start it up again it will sync to the cloud,which may take a while but all your cars,credits progress etc. will still be there.

    There is no paid trial

    There is a 10hour trial version yes but it's an ea demo

    That you don't pay for the trial

    You are talking about the xgu trial on Nov 12 th yes that was free NOT PAID

    If you are talking about your purchase Of the game that isn't a trial

    And refund policy applies but since 7 hours is significant amount of playtime it's unlikely to qualify

    There is a trial but you don't pay for it you download the actual trial game and play with the limitations early before the 19th.

    If you downloaded the paid game then no it's not a trial

    Concerning your purchase you reply to the rejection email however since you are trialing after you buy rather then playing the actual trial game you fall under the significant playtime

    in order to download Games with Gold for free, you will need a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription, any free trials will not count as Gold to allow purchasing those Games with Gold games for free
