    Purchased Xbox one gold and can't get on line


    Hi - my son's free membership expired today so we went online and I purchased him the Gold membership and paid for the year. When he goes to play a game on xbox one he gets a box that comes up that says something like - The current profile is not allowed
    to play on xbox live. Doesn't xbox one gold get you into the same stuff as the free? Please help .I checked not internet and it is good.

    Whether it's a Silver or Gold Profile, they all get Access to the Marketplace. But only Gold can play Online MP.

    My Gold membership isn't being recognized

    My Gold membership expired today. I got on-line and purchased an annual Gold membership, but when I sign in and try to play on-line it keeps telling me that I must be an Xbox LIVE Gold member. I am a Gold member, and my account says that I currently have
    a Gold membership. What gives?

    Hi Coolgamer969916. You try deleting and re-downloading the profile , kindly restart the console afterwards. If this won't fix the issue, you may need to directly contact Xbox Customer Support to refresh your subscription's status as the system might not
    detecting the Gold you bought.

    This notice is generally presented to players with an expired or recently renewed Xbox Live Gold account, which is required to play online games on Xbox consoles.

    If you just renewed your account, please allow up to 24 hours for your transaction to process and allow you to play online again.

    As per the requirements of xbox live you must have a valid payment option on file for games with gold or any Web purchases

    And yes xbox one counts as a Web purchases

    So the bottom line is that Microsoft has decided that they want to punish family's that purchase more than one xbox...... That doesn't seem right why did they remove the family gold account.... I can't believe that they were only thinking about to punish
