Hi, I purchased xbox live gold through an advertisement on 29/01/2016 that gives me Ryse for free, I purchased a prepaid xbox live code from a local retailer and entered this code through the advertisement link on xbox home. When will I get the code?

I have bought Xbox live gold through a promotional offer on the xbox one home screen and have not recieved extra item, which is the game Ryse ledgendary edition. The offer said the game was free and that it would be delivered through a code on my xbox within
4 weeks, it has now been over 5.

That would be your answers you didn't buy the promotion

You bought the prepaid subscription card from the retailer which counts as a previous purchase

You must buy any promotion with a valid payment option

Since you bought a prepaid code the terms were set on the point of sale not when you entered the code

 

The subscription purchase screen is generic

As per the terms and conditions your must use your billing account not a previous purchase to buy the subscription

Whatever promotion or terms you bought with the retailer is what you got not the dashboard promotjon

Dashboard promotions all require a billing option purchase not prepaid codes
