Purchased Xbox 360 game, but it says download on Xbox One.

So I went to the official EA Sports Website, and there clicked on FIFA 18 Legacy Edition. It gave me 2 options, Xbox 360 or PS3. I clicked on Xbox 360 and it redirected me to the Microsoft store.

There was an image of the game FIFA 18 and an option to buy underneath. I clicked on the option to buy and then proceeded to pay via debit card. When the purchase was complete, a pop-up appeared saying that my game will soon be available to download on my
Xbox One.

Why is it telling me to download the game on my Xbox One, when I purchased the game after clicking on the Xbox 360 version on the EA Sports website? And neither is there any option to download on my Xbox 360. I do not even own an Xbox One!

COD Ghosts Digital Hardened some DLC items not available....

I was wondering why the add ons like map or other dlc I buy on my xbox one but when I try get them on 360 it says I have to purchase them again... my son bought the map packs on the 360 but when he tried to download them on the xbox one it says he has to
pay for them again? Or vise versa like when I purchased the snoop dogg voice over on xbox one and tried to download it on 360 it says I have to pay again? What do I do?

Same here, Xbox 360 says already purchased and it let's me redownload to the 360, if I search games on Xbox one it comes up but stayed unavailable

Ok from what I see EA's website is directing users to the Xbox One edition from their website advertising the legacy edition. You're going to need to contact billing support to request a refund for this game.

Downloadable content and games are not compatible between the Xbox One console and Xbox 360 console. If you have purchased downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and would like to use it on the Xbox One, you will need to purchase it on the Xbox One.

Not all Xbox 360 games are able to be purchased on the Xbox One console. In this particular case you would need to purchase the game on an Xbox 360 console or on Xbox.com. Once you purchase the game on the website as FearedNightmare suggested, you'll be
able to download the game from the Ready to Install section on the Xbox One console.

Hi there, I tried the way you suggested Mistar Mascot but when I'm in the purchase hub it says "Not available", why is this happening?? What do I need to do??

If you purchased 360 version you can download the 360 version on xbox one but if you want the xbox one version you will need to purchase the xbox one version as they are different. Versions of the game

If 360 games are not compatible with xbox one then the option to re-purchase or download for free won`t even exist.

There simply won`t be any 360 games on the xbox one.

As far as the 360 goes,anything you have already purchased will always be there to download for free,for as long as microsoft support the 360.
