Purchased Minecraft on PC can't get it on Xbox One S

Hello,

Recently I purchased the Minecraft Windows 10 Starter Collection from the Microsoft Store on my PC, I would now like to transfer the game to my Xbox One S but cannot find a way to do so. It does not appear as purchased in the game store on my Xbox and does
not show up among the games I own. Furthermore when I click the install on my devices button in the store it only displays my PC not my Xbox.

I have tried refreshing and restarting my Xbox several times as well as given the game time to download. I have also made sure my Xbox is listed as one of the devices on my account. I have ensured my Xbox is my home Xbox and tried several other friend suggested
settings changes, and deleted the account I was previously game sharing the game through but nothing seams to help.

It is also peculiar as on my PC I run the game from my companion console which is linked to my Xbox, and it recognizes the save data from when I was game-sharing the game through a friend.

I was wondering if there was any way to solve this problem? Or if I purchased the wrong game and it is incomparable.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you purchased Minecraft on Windows 10, but you would like to play it on Xbox One as well. The reason that you cannot play Minecraft on Windows 10 through the Xbox One is because there
are two different versions of the game. One
version is for Windows 10, and the other
version is for Xbox One. You must purchase the console version of the game in order to play it on your Xbox One S. We hope this helps!

the Xbox Minecraft game(s) are not Play anywhere titles, which means that you will have to purchase it for PC too if you want to play it on PC

- As I stated in the original post, I purchased the Xbox One S 'Minecraft Edition.' I own the game through a digital code.

- "The PC version was provided as a code I believe so you can redeem that to any account."
- The code in my purchase history simply says "Minecraft for Windows." If it was a PC-only code, then why was I able to still access Minecraft Windows edition on my Xbox previously, but cannot do so now? The way I see it: I got a game with my Xbox to play on my Xbox, Microsoft buys up Mojang, gives me a code to play Minecraft on my PC, then takes away all forms of me playing Minecraft on my Xbox. Does this make sense?

Are you talking about Minecraft for PC or Minecraft for Xbox? These games are separate purchases (in effect, separate games). If you purchased for console, you can't install to Windows or vice-versa.

Have you tried purchasing it in your browser on your PC?

well i have used the internet explorer on the xbox (waiting for christmas to get my PC). but i look up Minecraft: Xbox One Edition on the microsoft store on said Internet explorer but still, it won't let me purchase it which still frustrates me and i don't
know what to do cause i can't get like a refund or anything due to Microsoft doesn't allow refunds.

i checked today (14/december/2017) and is still says "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is not currently available". Im slightly confused as my friends have Minecraft: Xbox One Edition while im not able to get the product that i want leaving me felt like i got
scammed for my money.
