Purchased Minecraft Java Edition in 2022, was inactive in 2023 until now and could not log in

Hi Sir,

I tried your recommendations and managed to "find" my account. Apparently we did migrate so it was tagged to my microsoft account as that was what i used to purchase. Now we are back to playing. Thank you very much for your help on this.

Here are the possible troubleshooting steps that you will get on their support website.

First, check to see if your account has a copy of Minecraft listed or is available to redeem by visiting your account page.

If your account page does not show a Minecraft profile, start your Minecraft Launcher (if you are already logged in, you can log out through the launcher screen: click your Java profile name in the top-right corner and then click Log Out).

• If you have a Mojang account, try logging in with any email address you have may have used for this purchase. You can reset your password at the Forgot Password
  
• If you have an older Minecraft account, try logging in with your Java profile name. You can reset your password at mojang.com/migrate.
  
• If you purchased Minecraft after December 1, 2020, you must sign into the launcher using the Microsoft account you purchased the game with, and not with a Mojang account.

I bought Java Edition on 24 May 2022. But I refunded it.

I bought the Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC (the Bundle, released two days ago) on Minecraft official website (https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-bedrock-edition-pc). on 8 June 2022.

I have uninstalled the Minecraft Launcher and reinstalled it.

Unfortunately, the deadline for migrating your Minecraft account to a Microsoft account with entitlement to Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition has passed. The migration process was open until May 10, 2023, and accounts that were not migrated by then are no longer eligible for the free Java Edition entitlement.

If you purchased Minecraft before the migration deadline, you will still be able to play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. However, you will no longer be able to claim a free copy of Minecraft: Java Edition.

If you are still interested in playing Minecraft: Java Edition, you will need to purchase it separately from the Microsoft Store.
