Purchased Minecraft for Windows does not appear on our Xbox One

We are signed into our Xbox One with the Microsoft account that we used to purchase Minecraft for Windows. We want to play the game on our Xbox One. However, when we go to Minecraft to install it, Xbox says we need to purchase it. Xbox doesn’t appear to know that we already purchased the game. Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

You would have to purchase Minecraft for the console in order to play it on the console. Minecraft is not a Play Anywhere title.

Hello Subject Micro,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. That is a great question. Minecraft can be played on several different platforms. The Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows 10 and iOS all support the game. The downloadable content purchased for each platform does
not transfer to other platforms. Hence, if a texture pack is purchased on the Xbox 360 it will not work on Xbox One or Windows 10. Be sure to keep us updated!

If you purchased Minecraft Bedrock(Windows edition) the transaction won't appear as a charge from mojang, would appear as a charge from Microsoft

Unfortunately the picture you attached does not work as a proof of purchase or ownership, for that would be needed that the purchase appears on the order history(as none of your purchases disappear from your order history even if you cancel or refund the purchase)

The game is Minecraft. It does appear in my purchase history. It has worked on my laptop in the past. I had a different problem that required me to do a complete reinstall of Windows 10. That deleted all apps and data. Now the Microsoft Store doesn’t show Minecraft for Windows 10 in My Library. Again, it is shown in my purchase history, April 2021.
