Purchased games won't download on PC

I bought some games a few years ago on my xbox console that I was able to play on my laptop. Now that I have a gaming PC, I can no longer download them to play. Am I doing something wrong? I can't repurchase them in the store because I own them already and they are playable on PC. I can buy a more expensive version so I can play on PC but I really don't see why I have to buy the same game twice

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Usually, only games that are XBOX PLAY ANYWHERE can be played on XBOX and PC, buying only once, this game has to be digital media, bought from the Microsoft Store on Xbox or windows. I suggest that you check if these games are part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program through the link below.

You stated you have the game for the console, but have you purchased it for the PC? If not, you can purchase the game from the Microsoft Store app. Minecraft is not Play Anywhere, so you won't be able to download it on the PC just for owning it on the console.

Still not able to download on console or PC, won't even show my purchased games. This all started after the last crash a couple weeks ago.

Do you own the digital Forza 4? If your Forza on Xbox is on disc then this won't be playable for free on the PC. Only digitally purchased games will be available to download.

If it was bought on your mom's account and she is sharing it with you on the Xbox then you won't see it as available on the PC since you didn't purchase it. She would need to sign into the PC in order to download it.
