Purchased Games That Were Demos Not Available Offline

Hello,

I have several games that I originally downloaded as demos but later purchased on Xbox Live (Castle Crashers, Doom, Tron, etc). However, if I try to play these games when offline, I can only play the demo versions. There are other games I purchased
on Xbox Live that will let me play the full versions offline (Doom 2, Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project, etc). Does anyone know why this is?

I have deleted and re-downloaded my profile to my Xbox, but didn't clear the cache in between those steps. I also deleted Doom and re-downloaded it before deleting and re-downloading my profile.

Since when were demos only available to gold members? That's really dumb.

DLC content not available offline

I play Project Cars and have noticed that all DLC content purchased does not show in the game when you are not connected to the internet.

As I have purchased the content it should be available offline so Is there a setting within the xbox that is stopping this from happening or is it game related?

Have you switched consoles since you originally purchased the games? If so, you would need to do a license transfer -

Hello Smwutches,

I have never switched neither consoles nor gamertags. I have, however, sent in my Xbox 360 to get the RROD issue resolved about 3 years ago, and I also purchased a new HDD about 2 years ago. I can still try your suggestion, but will that change anything
with all the other games I have that are currently working offline? Will I have to re-download all games, or just the ones that I can't play offline?

Since you sent your console in for repair it is possible that it is a license issue that's causing the problem. So definitely try it.

It won't affect any of your other games. You do need to redownload the games after performing the transfer, but you should be okay just redownloading the ones that are giving you problems. You don't need to delete anything before redownloading. If you already
have the games downloaded it will just need to download the license which will be pretty quick.

That did the trick. I transferred the licenses and re-downloaded all of the games that I couldn't play offline, and they are all now available offline.

Not all 360 games were made available to purchase digitally originally and some have been delisted throughout the years. Demos may not follow the same rules, but games are usually still listed for information.
