Purchased Games & DLC - New Gamertag

I'm considering purchasing a new gamertag because I'm receiving little to no help from Microsoft regarding a voice communication issue following the ending communication suspension (which was 2 weeks long and was over 2 weeks ago). If I purchase a new gamertag,
will I lose my DLC for Battlefield, Call of Duty, and Destiny? I do not want to go this route at all but I'm being left little option due to the lack of help.

How to get DLC on a new console

Hi,

For games - Go into "My games & apps" and you should see your purchased games in the main "Ready to install" list there.

For DLC - For DLC, first highlight the tile of an installed game you've purchased DLC for, then press the menu button on the controller and choose "Manage game". That will open up a new screen and you will see a "Ready to install" list that's just for add-ons
for that specific game, so anything you've purchased can be installed from there.

If this doesn't work, make sure you're signed into the console with the gamertag used to purchase the content.

Question About Downloaded Content & Multiple Gamertags

I'm assuming this is the appropriate place for this question, if not, please move it to the correct place. I've had a couple gamertags over the years & I've purchased various games & DLC with them. Basically, I want to start a new GT & delete my old ones
(at least on my hard drive). So my question is this: if I delete a gamertag from my console will I still have access to the content it purchased? I've never been banned or suspended, so it's not an end-around a security move. I have access to everything now
& everything is used from the same console. I just want to do some spring cleaning & start anew. Thanks for the help. Cheers.

If you mean you want to change your gamertag, then everything is still tied to your account.

If you mean you want to create a brand new account, then you can still access everything as long as you have your console set as your Home console on your current account.

If you had a reset on your gamertag then any achievement that you had previously earned cannot be re-earned on that tag.

If you choose to create a new tag any DLC (except in-game specific or avatar items) can be shared with the other gamertag so long as you are on the same console (or licensed console) that the DLC was originally purchased on.

I'm not sure what you're exactly asking, but if you mean to transfer DLC to a new account on the SAME console, then yes. The purchase is linked to the gamertag you purchased it with.

Sorry to hear that you haven't been able to purchase the new DLC. However, in order to buy the standalone DLC you would need to have purchased the DLC and game on the same gamertag.

If you have done that then the new TTK DLC can be purchased in-game. I believe you just need to watch the trailer for it and then you'll be prompted.

However, I did want to mention that the game is better played if you have an active Gold membership on your account. Currently you're showing as Silver. As there are Strikes that are part of the quest line you would not be able to get very far with only
a Silver account

DLC that contains in game items is only available to the gamertag that originally purchased it.
