Purchased game doesn’t install

Bought MK11, digitally. Legit ms account I’ve had for 5-10 years (since all the google help sites mention making sure it is). Never had issues downloading and installing games. In fact the last game I downloaded was the PSO2 beta with no issues.

Tried downloading and it showed error code 0x87E00005. Made sure there was enough room on internal HDD. I backed up my system, moved all my games to my external HDD, reset my console, unplugged to power for 15 minutes for hard reset, tested connection (ethernet
and wifi both) and reset network adapter.

any ideas how to fix it?

oh and its not letting me install anything. I have a couple updates for games and even those arent working. But installed the MS Store updates.

Update: This still did not fix the issue.

Have you tried removing your profile from the console and then doing a hard reset/power cycle before adding profile back?

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried both suggestions, however none worked.

The strange thing is the purchase does appear on my xbox purchase history, but doesn’t on my microsoft account on the website.

any ideas?

The link to my owned games (https://account.xbox.com/nl-nl/MyGames?rtc=1) doesn’t show the purchased game.

When I look up the game in the xbox store on my console it says that I can buy the game and takes me through the payment process. I am afraid that I wil have to pay again for the game before I can install it.

what to do?
