Discus and support Purchased Digital Games disappearing from library while still installed in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Not sure if anyone else has run into this but I got lucky with mine.     Purchased Digital Games disappearing from library while still installed


    Not sure if anyone else has run into this but I got lucky with mine. I had "purchased" The Crew the day it went live on Games for Gold and played it several times over the last few weeks however this morning it started giving me the insert disk or make sure
    you are signed in to the account that owns the game error. When i checked in the store itself it still said I had the game installed and owned. In order to fix the error I uninstalled the game. After uninstalling I checked My Games and Apps and the game
    was no longer there in the Ready to Install section. When I went into the store I was required to "repurchase" the game which was thankfully still free. Hopefully no one will run into this problem with a game they paid money for but I figured I should at
    least make this aware in case someone runs into this issue under those circumstances.

    Backwards compatibility is going to be deemed a success or failure depending on the publishers..

    yes

    if your purchase, or installed/started the install, or added the game to your library while it was/is gwg from MS Store, and is on the BC list, it will be free to re-install on the One

    Same thing with me but I had an error with Ark Survival Evolved so I deleted it and is its gone

    Could installing Games to SSD really work?

    While you can install the game from a disc onto an external drive, Xbox still requires you to insert the disc in order to launch the app. The only way to avoid this is to repurchase the games digitally. I've done that and having an entirely digital library
    is very convenient and doesn't take up a bunch of physical space.

    I don't know how xbox play anywhere works.

    Did you purchase it digitally or on disc? As long as you purchased it digitally, you should see the game listed as ready to install in your library in the Microsoft Store app.

    Do the games not show up in the games library of the new console when the account that purchased them is signed in? These are all digitally purchased games and not disc based installs, correct?
