PURCHASED DIGITAL COPY ON WRONG XBOX/MICROSOFT ACCOUNT

Hello, you can try and see if it will be refunded but it wont be account swapped. Sorry about that, /in the future be very careful on what account you are using.

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. If you purchased it recently, you can try

submitting a refund request and then purchase it on the right account.

Did you purchase the game on disc or a digital copy from the Microsoft store? If it was a disc, then you will have to pay for the game again, as Xbox Play Anywhere only works with digital games. If it was a digital copy from the Microsoft Store, then logging
in on Windows 10 with the same account that purchased will let you download it to your Windows 10 device.

I'm afraid there isn't an option to use your Microsoft account balance to purchase a physical copy of the game, the only option is to purchase a digital copy of it. Thanks for understanding, let us know if you have any other Xbox support questions.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. As the gift cards were purchased at a 3rd party retailer, the refund would have to come from their end as the cards weren't purchased directly from Microsoft/Xbox using a Microsoft account.

Like the Ambassadors previously recommended, the games can be bought (digital copy) under her account and they will then be associated with that account for download/installation/use. Essentially the license to the game would be assigned to her account digitally.
A physical disc copy is solely used for licensing purposes as the game itself has to be downloaded and installed much like a digital copy. I recommend taking a look at our support article entitled Buying
