Purchased before promotions

If you bought a new console and few months later Microsoft releases promotions with freebies for the same price you purchased it for. Do you believe you should get those freebies too?

Promotion Points Problem

I checked my billing account and i saw that i had 1160 promotion points that expire in 30th of June,so i decided to buy some things.

According to billing info,Promotional points with expiration dates are automatically redeemed first before purchased points.

I had also 1360 points on my account from purchased card points.

The problem is that the game i bought for 400 was taken from promotion points AND my own purchased points.

So my biling profile is now 760 promotion points and 960 purchased points.

Please support team resolve my issue.

 

Not really. It sucks, but that kind of stuff happens all the time.

When it comes to retail deals, that's the risk one takes when purchasing anything.

It's no different when someone purchases an item and two, four, or six months later the item goes on sale.

Some retailers may refund the difference if the purchase was made within 14 days, but it does vary by retailer.

Promotions are created to target specific things. Some are targeted to sell a product to new buyers. Other promotions are targeted to retain customers.

When Microsoft releases bundles, the bundles are targeted to consumers who are in the market for a console. Not consumers that have already purchased one.

Short answer - Sorry, but no.

 

I don’t believe they should be offered months later. A couple of days later is a very different matter, though (IMO).

 

No the same as i don't expect to go to a car dealership 6 months after purchase to get the new discounted price difference refunded or a free spec upgrade...

 

I've handled situations like this if I'm still under the normal return window at the store.
