Purchased a year subscription and now can't play

Edit, now I'm getting error 80070002. I purchased a 1 year Elite subscription last night and now I can't use my account..

I now have 4 360's less than a year old for sale. I will now switch to PS3's to play online with the family. Bad move by xbox, wanting every console to purchase it's own gold subscription for $60.00. Sony will reap the benefits!

Im having the same problem now for the last two days. My gold subscription is good through April next year but when I try to play any game multiplayer it says to purchase gold. Calling support.

You can't play the games downloaded trough game pass on the account that purchased the subscription?
