    Purchased a game but can't download it


    I purchased a game and then the loading screen after purchasing and before downloading was taking too long so I exited out through the Dash button. I go back to the game and there is no option to download it and it's not downloading on my active downloads.
    It took my money. IT TOOK MY MONEY BUT I CAN'T DOWNLOAD IT. I got an email confirmation FROM MICROSOFT saying I purchased this game but I CANNOT DOWNLOAD IT.

    I -DEMAND- an explanation.

    Hi!

    The Xbox Live ultimate games sale has started and I was quick to try and dive in to get some deals.

    I purchased Borderlands 2 no problem. It's downloading now. I try and purchase Far Cry 3 and I got an error saying I could not purchase it at that time. I then received an email confirming I purchased BOTH Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3. If I go back to the
    marketplace I only have an option to purchase Far Cry 3 for a second time.

    I have access to my banking online and I checked that. It did take the payment for both games.

    Has anyone had this issue before? Any solutions?

    I don't want to try and purchase anymore games yet if this will happen to them all.

    By the way I tried deleting marketplace cache and system cache and then restarting. So don't even go there.

    Can't Download Purchased Games

    Hey there!

    I'm sorry to hear about the download issues. If you haven't yet, I recommend looking at the troubleshooting guide we have for
    Xbox 360 storage devices. If you continue to experience the issue with that specific USB drive, you may want to try a different flash drive.

    I can now log in again (I think it was some hiccup on the Microsoft side, as I've changed no network settings), however I'm back to square one. Same original errors in compatibility mode (windows 8)

    Thanks for that info, QuitBrute. Are you able to Windows XP and Vista Compatibility Mode to see if that helps? The troubleshooting presented in the guide to

    Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows     may be able to assist with the issue you're experiencing.

    Additionally, do you own this game on disc or digitally and where did you acquire the license for the game from?
    Anything older than windows 8 requires a separate download. I don't own the disc, I bought the game directly from microsoft during a sale when they were promoting the platform about a decade ago
