Purchased 2 day trail code won't work

Hello,

Yesterday my 1 year Xbox Live Gold membership ended, which i've bought as a card, not a automatic membership through Microsoft.

Now, ofcourse i wanted to play online, so i bought a 2 day trail card so i can buy a year card again next week.

But when i entered the code, multiple times in multiple ways, it said that i've already got a Gold membership (which ended Friday the 13th of May)

Why can't i activate a 2 day gold trail card on my account, seen that my 1 year membership has ended?

And what if i buy a card for 1 year membership, will it work?

I hope this problem is a familiar one so it can be solved!

If you already were using payed gold membership before you can't use a trial membership. The purpose of trial memberships is to get to know the xbox live services at fullest not to extended the gold membership time.

Sounds like you may have had gold previously and your account is past due or something. Check it out here https://account.microsoft.com/services If so you will need to contact support directly for assistance.

According to your forum gamercard you're still gold so that's why the trial will not work.

Adding a 12 month sub should work fine,it's only trials that can't be added to gold accounts.

I'm hearing a lot of people getting this error popping up recently. I would either try redeeming the code on Xbox.com or the Console itself. If that doesn't work try contact Xbox at 1-800-4MY-XBOX they should be able to fix your situation

I think that the trial is only for Gears of War only and not on other games. if you want you can use a Xbox live membership to play online games.

it doesnt let meplay online gears of war

limited to certain modes like social and non ranked matches

You need full gold for the rest
