    purchased 12 month gold card last Xmas told the code invalid


    Well after getting this card during holiday time at Target last winter I went to use it. It came back as invalid. I had purchased several for gifts and this was the last one. I rubbed off the silver today so its unused. Went to chat and Amber tells me
    its not valid. Then tells me its not a code that xbox made...??? What? it's printed on the card! Now demanding I have proof I bought it. Also told me after target bought them they are in charge of them... Another WHAT? Target didn't print the card. Now
    waiting for email from higher ups. Have slowly and repeatedly typed in code correctly. What should I do?

    Sorry to hear you're upset. There are a few reasons why your card may be invalid.

    1. The Gold membership card is not from the region that your gamertag is set to.

    2. You are typing the code incorrectly (O can be mistaken for 0 or B for 8)

    3. The card was not activated at the time of purchase. If this is the case there's not much that can be done now due to the length of time since purchase. Cards are activated by the retailer at POS to avoid theft of them. They will not work until activated.

    This didn't answer my problem with the card as I watched it be scanned at time of purchase.

    I entered the b's and 8's correctly.

    I don't have 0's or o's in code.

    What I am hearing is I just got *** out of $60 from a company that makes millions of dollars a year.

    Just because a card has been scanned doesn't mean it's been activated. You are absolutely within your right to believe what you want from what I've posted but unless you take the card back and see if they activated it or not then the only one who may be
    losing the money is you.

    It's always best to try all the possibilities before laying blame.

    I went to store this morning and was told after they scanned it that it no longer is in their computers. WAs given #'s to call and called both. No luck finding receipt on file. Was given a 3rd # to call on monday. Maybe I will have luck with last #? This
    is way to hard to get straightend out. Still sad and frustrated that no one really seems to care.

    I think onyx has shown they care. The problem is it was purchased during the Holidays and you are just now getting around to using it. Without the receipt, for all they know you stole the card and are trying to find a way to activate it. I think you will
    get this worked out, but check that code again to be CERTAIN you are entering all letters and numbers correctly, (this is probably the easiest mistake to make).
