Purchase xbox live with ms points

I probably like many before have come to discover after buying xbox points that live is excluded. Just went to take advantage of the 20%off xbox live so I walked down to 711 got a 50$ card and entered in the code. Whats this not purchase option? Add a credit
card no no I want to use my points whats the difference ms is getting my 50$ whats the big problem? Sell after contacting support im directed to a link saying xbox live can not be purchased with xbox points at this time then see in tiny fine print credit
card required!!! Cant get a refund cant afford 12months sub or take advantage of the sale now im broke and some ones not getting a Christmas gift because of adequate notificstion. I just got robbed by Microsoft

XBox Rewards

The Xbox live rewards program is awesome! I get 20 ms points a month (minimum), with an extra event every month to boost that. Payout is after 100 points, but it doesn't take long if you do other things (marketplace purchases, using specific apps). There is a bonus added now for those with high achievements that make marketplace purchases cheaper (or at least ms points back on every purchase). I would strongly recommend joining up, even if I can't get referrals! LOL

Mister Gwyther - i tried different payment method, doesn't work... I did not get error codes, only red message "Your payment instrument could not be authorized. Please contact your provider, or try a different payment option."
when i try to buy ms points!

tried purchase ms points in different ways, on site, on xbox with "add points" option when trying to purchase game, and simply buy points in xbox live!

The only way it has ever been possible to purchase Xbox Live Gold has been with either credit card/paypal or with prepaid Gold Subscription cards. Why do you think they sell prepaid subscription cards and also currency cards? (It's because they
are used for different things!)

It's a fact the MS Points cards or MS Prepaid cards for Xbox Live Gold, can only be redeemed by LIVE accounts based in the country of purchase.

Hey England, To better help you understand this issue, When you purchase MS points you can only purchase them in certain increments from Xbox Live. So say you purchased 400 MS points then 800 MS points, so that gives you 1200 MS Points. Now you can only
transfer the same amounts that are available when purchasing MS Points (ie 400, 800, 1600, 4000, 6000). I hope this helps clear the misunderstanding up for you.

well two things if they are purchasing from amazon they aren't purchasing lithuanian ms points as amazon only sells US or canada ms points

and MS points are region locked so they cannot just be used on any account

you can buy from this website MS points as long as you have a creditcard or you goto your local windows phone store

but as there is no xbox live marketplace for xbox on xbox.com for lithuania you cannot make purchases for xbox just windows phone or windows 8

Promotion Details: It was a 12 + 1 month xbox live subscription + 800(i think) ms points, from the xbox marketplace.
