Purchase online game on child account

I have just set my daughter up with an xbox account and tried to purchase an xbox 360 backwards compatible game on her account for her (Lego Star Wars) but I am receiving a message saying your account is unable to make this type of purchase, what do I
do? Why is it so awkward to purchase a game that's rated 3+

Even with your child having their own funds and bank, it's important to think about them making purchases that can cause their funds and bank accounts to be overdrawn. I would suggest reading through the Family and Online Saftey on Xbox Support to make an
informed decision.

Child accounts are not able to make online purchases. You can purchase the game through the parent account and gameshare through the xbox home setting

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are unable to purchase Xbox Game Pass on your son's account due to account restrictions. Is your son playing on an Xbox One or Xbox 360? A child account may have it's ability to
purchase items restricted by a parent account. You must have a parent account and

put the child account in a family. Once the child account has been added to the family, you can go to the

online privacy & online safety settings with the parent account and allow the child to complete a purchase. After the purchase is completed, you can log back in to the online privacy & online safety settings with the parent account and restrict any purchases

It's actually due to restrictions in the 360 store that don't apply on the One store. In order for child accounts to purchase backwards compatible games, they have to be purchased on a 360 console.
