Purchase mistake question

Once you have requested a refund anything else you buy afterwards shouldn't effect it.

Uninstalling it wouldn't do any harm but the deluxe edition might be the same game with addons so you would have to re download it again.

Perhaps wait for the refund reply before buying the deluxe edition to make sure you get a refund before buying it twice.

You can request a refund by signing in to https://xbox.com/refunds.

When you purchase content it's tied to the gamertag that it was purchased on as well as the console it was purchased on. The console license allows other profiles on that console to access the content. So he will be able to access the game from his profile
unless you do a license transfer on another console.

You would need to contact support directly and speak to billing. Keep in mind that everything on the marketplace does state that there are no refunds so there is no guarantee they will refund the purchases.
