Purchase and install Minecraft for daughters PC

I am setting up a brand new Windows PC for my daughter (under 12) for Christmas and she asked for Minecraft. When I login to the Minecraft site with her credentials (the ones that will be used on this PC) it won't allow the purchase. If I login as myself I can buy but it wants me to register the device to be used. It's her PC and if I register her PC to my user account then when she's logged in I'm concerned it won't all sync properly. To complicate matters she is already using her Minecraft account with a Nintendo Switch. I do not own a Windows PC so my account is strictly the Family Administrator setup initially to establish parental controls for the NS and Minecraft.

ll it on my Win 10 PC too. When I go to The Minecraft page and click "Install on my devices". It does not list my Win 10 PC as a device to install Minecraft. I can see Xbox as a device to install Minecraft. I have also confirmed that the account logged in
from the PC is same as the one used for Xbox Minecraft purchase.

I assume if I purchase a game for Xbox and available for PC can be used on PC also.

Are you talking about Minecraft for PC or Minecraft for Xbox? These games are separate purchases (in effect, separate games). If you purchased for console, you can't install to Windows or vice-versa.

if you purchased Minecraft for PC from the xbox store than right front your xbox app installed on your PC you should have the options to download any games purchased.

To update this post, in case anyone else has this issue.

The Microsoft Store on Windows PCs intergration Minecraft is broken. Seems crazy given Minecraft has almost 100, Million Users. I suspect Microsoft know the store is broken but are not interested in fixing it, why would they given that the cash goes to them.

You cannot add money to the Microsoft Store for your children in your family account and purchase Minecraft coins/content. (well, you can add the money, but not spend it on Minecraft).

I did manage to get this resolved, but you need an XBOX. I logged into my sons XBOX and set up an account for my daughter using her Microsoft account details. I launched Minecraft with my daughters account. Once in Minecraft on the XBOX, the intergration with the Microsoft Store worked. When I went to purchase the content on the xbox, it took the money out of my duaghters account and bought the content. I could then log into her Windows PC, with the same account and the content is there....
